I just really love Fitzgerald. I think he gave one of the best character descriptions I’ve ever read when he described Daisy, in the Great Gatsby, as being someone who spoke softly, intimately, so as to make people lean in closer to her. I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately, and how it’s just such a good description of a person.
