I'm a philosophy student that tends to post about really serious things unseriously and about really unserious things seriously.

I was once described as a "beautiful, intelligent iguana".

Weekend Update:

(Since I haven’t been on here in a few days)

  • On Friday, I went to go see an orchestral interpretation of a bunch of video game songs. They played stuff from Zelda, and Secretes of Mana, and a bunch of other stuff, which was awesome. The only awkward part was when the conductor introduced all of the players, right before the final song, he called one of the players up next to him, and then proposed to her. That was awkward in its own right, but then he had to tell her to go sit again (after she said yes), so that they could play the final song. The whole thing was really weird.
  • On Saturday, I went to see mini-burning man festival in the middle of reno, wich a bunch of fire spinners and stuff. After, I went to go see a friend perform music over some silent films (along with a bunch of other people, obviously). There was one really weird film that just focused on an octopus. It wasn’t even documentary style though: it would just say something like “watch as the octopus dies” (it was in french/german - I couldn’t understand it all) and then would zoom in on the eye of the octopus as it dried out. Really fucking weird film. All the music was fantastic, though. Then there was free beer/ice cream on top of an art museum, and I definitely partook.
  • Sunday morning: I’m drunk (currently), after a lot of fun with roommates and others.

Overall, it’s been a really good weekend. Let’s see if everything continues this way for a while.
