Pretty much. I should note for the record and before I look like more of a douchebag than I usually am that I don’t subscribe to the view backgrounding most of those file headings I was listing off (namely: SMASHING CAPITALISM IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY OTHER POLITICAL PRIORITIES REGARDLESS OF CONTEXT, ALL FORMS OF OPPRESSION ARE EPIPHENOMENA OF CAPITALIST EXPLOITATION, WHY ARE YOU STILL TALKING ABOUT RACE/GENDER IT’S REALLY ABOUT CLASS COME ON). Those are just arguments that our debate team had on tap, if you will.
Debate is such a weird intellectual creature. I’m kind of glad I didn’t continue doing it after high school, even though I’m decently in contact with people that are on the UNR team. Weird kids, the lot of them.
